Terms of Service

Effective date: 1 May 2026

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Keya Authenticator ("the App"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Licence

Keya Authenticator is free software distributed under the GNU General Public Licence v3. You may use, study, modify, and redistribute the source code under the terms of that licence. The binary distributed on the App Store is provided under Apple's standard App Store terms in addition to the GPL v3.

3. No Warranty

The App is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. This includes but is not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Important: Keya Authenticator is a tool to help you manage two-factor authentication codes. You are solely responsible for maintaining access to your accounts, including keeping secure backups of your 2FA secrets. Loss of your device without a backup may result in being locked out of your accounts.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Eldar Shaidullin shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to loss of account access, data loss, or security breaches caused by device compromise.

5. Your Responsibilities

6. In-App Purchases

Tips purchased through the App are voluntary, non-refundable (subject to Apple's refund policy), and do not unlock any additional features. The App is fully functional without any purchase.

7. Open Source

The complete source code is available at github.com/esxx/keya-authenticator. Contributions are welcome under the terms of the GPL v3.

8. Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict of law principles.
